Noah Mazé

Noah Mazé is papa to Madeleine and Oliver; but best known for his clear and precise teaching style, tangible knowledge, and an ability to transmit with openness, curiosity, and wit. In the words of his students: Noah’s fierce and compassionate dedication to yoga inspires and holds space for students to journey deeper into body, heart, mind, and spirit than they ever could have imagined.

Noah began a regular practice of hatha yoga when he was 14 years old. Early on, he was honored to study with Richard Freeman, Pattabhi Jois, and Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Manouso Manos among many others. Noah continues to be an avid student of yoga and various yoga teachers across styles and disciplines.

Ever-advancing global conversation and curriculum in yoga education, Noah co-founded his school, YOGAMAZÉ, with his wife, Tracy, in 2012. Together they have pioneered training content (both in person and online) to enhance skills of yoga teachers and studios in nearly every corner of the world. In addition to creating and developing the entirety of YOGAMAZÉ’s curriculum, Noah serves as faculty for teacher trainings around the world and acts as a consultant to corporations developing advanced yoga education programs. Noah is a regular presenter at Wanderlust Festivals and regularly contributes to the usual suspects of yoga publication.

deeper aspects of yoga asana, anatomy, pranayama and so much more during this comprehensive Advanced Teacher Training at the Yoga Flow SF Ocean Ave. Location, September 24-28. Each day there will be Lecture & Hands-on Learning followed by an Asana Workshop Class that will be specifically tailored to complement each day's lecture work. For non-teacher trainee attendees, the Asana Workshop Track can be taken individually or as a series.

This training will also include an online component consisting of lectures and teacher training related asana practices with Noah and his team. This online component will be provided to students at the end of the program and will serve as a continuing resource for further learning throughout the remainder of the year.

50 continuing education hours that includes, 35 contact hours and 20 + hours of home study.

Our training curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with Vinyasa theory, and is designed and regularly updated by Noah Mazé, who is recognized around the globe as a teacher’s teacher. We emphasize logical analysis, clear language, and critical thinking. We do not advocate one set of principals or one philosophy. Rather, our students are empowered to teach with confidence, because they possess the requisite educational tools to make strong teaching choices in light of their own individual objectives.

In this Teacher Training you will learn:

  1. Communicating in the Seat of the Teacher
  2. Observation, Demonstration & Pose Improvement Strategies
  3. Physical Adjustments
  4. Conscious Use of Myth and Metaphor
  5. Vinyasa Sequencing and Transitions

Schedule

Plan to join Noah and your fellow trainees each morning for lecture and hands-on learning, enjoy a light lunch break, and then get ready to amp up the physical practice as you journey onto the mat for specialized asana workshops, each day, in the afternoon. For non-teacher trainee attendees, the Asana Workshop Track can be taken individually or as a series.
