Innovative Program of Technology 

  • This includes using laptops and iPad to provide education for their students.   – Students love the program as it provides them with skills they can apply after graduation from high school such as research, writing reports, presentations, and solving problems that require critical thinking among others.

Evaluation of Individual’s Achievement and Progress 

The school day is divided into six forty-five-minute blocks. Each block has a different theme, which corresponds with one or more of the California state standards that guide what our children should learn at each grade level. For example, there may be an emphasis on reading during Language Arts time. During Mathematics class, they study number sense and practice their computation skills. Science experiments take place in the science lab where kids conduct investigations to determine how well various objects float or sink in water; for math, we use these same activities as opportunities to explore volume concepts like displacement.


How is Miraloma Elementary School Operated and Governed?

Yearly art and music supplies and equipment such as instruments, paints, easels, etc. Instruments have even been purchased! All classrooms also have pianos so students can learn to play at an early age. Computers in every classroom. Library books that are current enough to be interesting but not too advanced for our K through second graders.
