Diamond Heights is a neighborhood in central San Francisco, California that was developed in the 1960s and 1970s as part of an urban renewal project. The area is composed of residential, commercial, and mixed-use areas and is home to approximately 8,000 residents.
The neighborhood is bounded by Market Street to the south, Twin Peaks to the west, Castro Street to the north, and Noe Valley to the east. Diamond Heights has stunning views of downtown San Francisco, the San Francisco Bay, and Twin Peaks.

Safeway | 5290 Diamond Heights Boulevard, San Francisco, California 94131, United States
Safeway was founded in 1915 in American Falls, Idaho by Marion Barton Skaggs. His father had been running a small grocery store in the town, and when Marion took over, he expanded it into a successful regional chain. In 1926, he merged his company with a larger grocery chain, creating Safeway stores across the western United States. The company went public in 1930, and by the mid-1940s, Safeway was one of the largest grocery chains in the country.
Safeway is still guided by M.B. Skagg’s value concept, although on a far bigger scale.
