Learn MoreAnna Hughes
When Anna Hughes first started studying yoga in college, it seemed a natural progression from the dance she studied and adored for the first eighteen years of her life. Anna completed her 500-hour Bikram teacher training in 2002, and began teaching full time immediately. Since that time, Anna has explored Ashtanga Yoga extensively, studying with the wonderful David Swenson as well as Todd Roderick, one of the Southeast’s most renowned Ashtanga Yoga instructors. It was in 2003 when she began studying Bhakti Flow with Rusty Wells that she was truly introduced to the idea of integrating the physical and spiritual practices of yoga and her teaching has evolved to embrace this concept.Anna’s study of various systems of yoga has led her to a greater understanding of yoga as a whole. In her own teaching, she emphasizes a connection with the breath as well as mindfulness, contentment and a healthy sense of humor. Her experience with yoga has inspired her to infuse her teaching with the idea of finding joy in one’s practice while challenging the body, mind, and spirit. Her vinyasa classes are vigorous and playful, creatively sequenced, and always include a great soundtrack.

I'm a soul seeker on a quest to explore the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Having discovered yoga in 2000, I immediately became enchanted with the ease in my body and serenity in my mind. As I discovered my soul path, Yoga became my trusted companion.
I teach Slowful Flow and Yin Yoga to bring unique physical, energetic, and emotional clearing benefits. In Yin, poses are held for extended periods to lubricate joints and tissues, to practice mindfulness, and to cultivate chi flow in the body. It is often felt like a needle-less acupuncture session, and will leave you feeling euphoric.
Yoga has helped me to explore my true nature and to wake up to see who I truly am. It's not always easy but it's real and I feel alive. I wish the same for you my friend.
Hari Om.

My MISSION in life is to help people walk their authentic path with balance, confidence, and joy.
My expertise comes from the many decades of navigating my own unique path full of ups and downs,
including economic fluctuation, career evolution, and a myriad of relationships. For strength, I studied many of the world’s wisdom teachings as taught by luminaries Joseph Campbell, Albert Einstein, Mary Morrissey, Pema Chödrön, Thích Nhất Hạnh, Martin Luther King, Jr., Patanjali, and others. These wisdom teachings worked to help me thrive amidst the inherent ups and downs of a full life, authentically lived.
Now I am honored to stand in this long lineage, sharing these same principles to others, so that they, too, may access the power to flourish on their own unique paths while navigating the exhilarating rush of this wild ride, called LIFE.
